Do you believe that travel makes you a richer person and leads to personal growth? Are you a collector of new adventures that help tell the story of you? If so, you are in the right place! I am a lifetime francophile - lover of all things related to francophone cultures around the world - residing in the southeastern US. The driving force behind The Balade Factory is my passion to nurture the notion of global citizenry. Global citizenry transcends geographical and political borders and helps us to acknowledge our role as members of the World, not just citizens of a particular country or residents of a certain city. Travels and experiences are tangible and effective means to build an appreciation for the diverse, multicultural world in which we live.
I truly love sharing the French language and culture, so much so that I have completed three degrees in my field over the years. I have been teaching for almost 15 years and am excited to also have the opportunity to foster global citizenry through The Balade Factory as well.
You might ask, why Paris, why France? I have visited the country and its capital many times throughout my lifetime, and I find that I appreciate it more and learn something new with each visit. Thomas Jefferson once stated that “A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of Life." I could not agree with him more! Whether you are reminiscing past generations of great thinkers and artists while taking a balade in the Père Lachaise cemetery in October, or looking out over the Champs de Mars and the Eiffel tower after your métro balade that leads you onto the Place du Trocadéro in early spring, “Paris is always a good idea," simply put by Audrey Hepburn. Oui, Audrey, Paris never disappoints!
Your might also question, why travel for women only? First, The Travel Industry Association of America recently reported that 20- to 70-year-old women make up as much as 75% of travelers on cultural journeys. Many women want to travel, but can't always work it out to find the perfect travel companion or dates due to conflicting work schedules and our generally hectic lifestyles stateside. That last statement brings me to mention the wealth of benefits to women that come with taking time to travel: a renewed sense of self, time away from mothering and/or caregiving, growing one's worldview, supporting other women, finding unexpected friends, etc. Simply put, The Balade Factory itineraries connect likeminded females who want to embark on international journeys through intimate tours. Safety is key, so travel solo but never alone with The Balade Factory. I carefully and thoughtfully plan every aspect of the balades I offer and accompany all tours, acting as your concierge and language guide. Traveling with The Balade Factory means that your only jobs are to dream, discover, and balade alongside other fabulous ladies in Paris.
To conclude, my goal is to help you absorb many heuristic and eye-opening experiences in the City of Light while traveling in a safe and secure group with whom you will forever share the elegance, sophistication, and enlightenment of Paris. You'll always have your sisterhood to look back on for many years to come after your Parisian balades with The Balade Factory. I personally invite you to join us on our next Parisian adventure.
Dream. Discover. Balade.
